Course Description

Is this course suitable for me or my staff?

This course is most suited to care organisations and staff whose service users are aged over 16 years old.

Sepsis presents a considerable health challenge globally, affecting millions every year, including 245,000 people in the UK alone.

This severe condition stems from an infection that ignites an overwhelming immune response in our bodies. If not addressed quickly, sepsis can cause organ failure and can be fatal.

The elusive nature of sepsis underscores the importance of early diagnosis and immediate treatment. Swift and decisive action is key in ensuring people receive the right care without delay.

To better equip care organisations and their amazing, hardworking staff in this fight, we offer the Essentials of Sepsis Recognition & Escalation For Care & Support Staff course. This face to face training course delivered by experienced healthcare professionals arms care and support staff with the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence to identify individuals at risk of sepsis, recognise its early signs, and escalate care effectively when they suspect sepsis. With our CQC compliant course, you'll be better prepared to help those at risk.

Sepsis Champions!

We urge all organisations to become sepsis savvy, a key part of which involves nominating 'sepsis champions' within your team. Following the completion of our course, you'll be in a position to designate a team member as a sepsis champion - someone who has either positively used their newfound skills in the workplace or has been instrumental in helping others do the same.

If you wish to nominate a Sepsis Champion, we can assist by sharing their details with the UK Sepsis Trust. This way, their efforts can be acknowledged and celebrated, serving as an inspiration to others in our shared mission to tackle sepsis.
